In whom He is well pleased

Mat 3:17 And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
—-

Not me. Not your pastor. Not your spouse. Nor your brother. Not the Pope or Archbishop. Not even your president. Not givings, or tithings, or healings, or any works. The Lord declared that He was pleased in the Son. Wholly. He saw peace, contentment, fulfilment, life in the Son.

Rom 8:8 So then they who are in the flesh cannot please God.

You realise from this, no flesh on earth is pleasing to God. The only One that pleases God is His Son. And He is ever pleasant. Like the burnt offering for a sweet savor to Jehovah. (Numbers 29:2)

The reason we must understand this death we received on the cross is to understand His life that takes residence now. He who is the vine, He who is the lifeblood, He who is the living water, He who is the bread of life, He….. of Whom and through Whom and to Whom are all things; to Him be glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36)

I can do nothing. When the Lord makes manifest these words in a heart, there shall be no more strife of flesh rather a peaceful willing into Him who is now our true life.

Php 2:13  for it is God who works in you both the willing and the working according to his good pleasure. (Darby)

If I brought myself to the Lord, I am obligated to keep myself here.

Joh 6:39  And this is the will of him that has sent me, that of all that he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day.

Learning to rest in the Lord, regardless flaws, shortcoming, failings, doubtings, for He is our anchor.

Heb 6:19 which we have as anchor of the soul, both secure and firm, and entering into that within the veil,
Heb 6:20 where Jesus is entered as forerunner for us, become for ever a high priest according to the order of Melchisedec.

He has gone in before us. Let us rest in Him. This is the best place to be. In the person in whom God is fully pleased with. Thus, eyes off yourself, onto Him.

Shalom.
