Daisy

Daisy

He kept staring at the light
In the distance, in the ebony of night
There she shone a colour so bright
She was the only thing in his sight.

He reached out his hand to feel
This magic that held his gaze still
Hoping in a moment the heart would heal
If this beauty could be present and real.

Alas, he kept beholding
He kept reaching
But nothing but vapour rising
And his hands emptiness holding.

She was a dream
He a lucid dreamer.
